ArcelorMittal is an internationally renowned steel producer that specializes in high quality products that are used in manufacturing consumer goods. Produces 7.5 million tons/year of plates and hot rolled coil.
Every year they select a number of professionals who aspire to be a part of an internship experience. This company program receives over 10,000 entries from all over Brazil, and to manage and ensure a smooth process, ArcelorMittal was looking for a robust Personnel Management System. After several unsuccesfull attempts to find an appropriate system, and facing a tight schedule of the start of the screening process, they asked to Infopar to develop a new system from scratch.
We were able to quickly conceive and design the new Personnel Management System for ArcelorMittal. Given the time constraints, we worked tirelessly to ensure the on time development and deployement of the system. The system was able to handle all the demands and has been in use since then, for over 8 years, for the management of the recruitment and selection process of the company.
The personnel management system at ArcelorMittal was built on the Microsoft .Net platform, which was a pioneering initiative in using the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) in ArcelorMittal.
